Casting for NEW MOVIE "Comeback King"

Universal's upcoming feature "Comeback King" with Judd Apatow and Glen Powell.

UPDATE 3/5/26:

We just spoke with the casting director for the upcoming Judd Apatow film, "Comeback King," starring Glen Powell. Please read the updates below.  The production is still looking for models and actors to portray country music stars and/or their significant others on a CMA Awards red carpet. The casting director emphasized that talent must be exceptionally skilled at posing and smiling for paparazzi.

Update on Shoot Dates: The shoot has been pushed to June due to production delays. The scene is still greenlit, and there are 20 roles available (ten pairs). 

Self-Tape Requirements:

A self-tape is required for consideration. Please dress in "Red Carpet" or "Rock and Roll Formal" attire (borrow tuxedos or formal dresses from friends). Your tape should demonstrate your ability to be a "famous personality" while you pose and smile/wave/interact  professionally for cameras.  *Slate at the end of your scene. Slate in this order: Name. Agency. Location - SAY SAVANNAH do not say any other town. Tapes will be due in April.

Clarification on Casting:

Many of you have asked about local TV stations casting extras. Please note that while you may sign up for background work independently, this specific red carpet scene is being cast exclusively through Halo Agency. Local background roles are reportedly paying $68 for 8 hours. In contrast, this Halo-exclusive red carpet scene pays $500 per filming day, $200 per fitting day. Total of six days in fitting and two days filming. *Potential for more filming and fitting dates. If they film more dates, you will have more fittings. All invoicing for these roles will be handled through Halo.

It will be filming in Savannah from April through June. We're planning a 4-day recall scene toward the end of the schedule that will require a group of talent who read as country music star types (men and women) on the red carpet. These non-speaking background/model roles require extensive fittings and time on set.

Casting males and females 20s-50s who can play a country music star. Non-speaking role but talent will have to act out a red carpet scene. Imagine being a country music singer/star and arriving to the Grammy's on the red carpet.

Rates: $500 per filming day, $200 per fitting day. Total of six days in fitting and two days filming.
